TikTok is an outlier in the social media landscape in many ways, and one of those is how it gets remembered. Most of us with terminally internet-poisoned brains can easily recall our all-time favorite tweets, for example, or the greatest Vines. When it comes to the best singular TikToks, though, it’s a lot more difficult to put a finger on it. 

There could be many reasons for this: maybe the fact that successful TikTokers are often valued as whole personalities as opposed to separate moments, or that the clock app is designed to turn every interesting and novel thing it shows us into one homogenous mass.
