‘This is what things cost at expensive hotels’: Billionaire tattles on 5 star hotel in NYC for serving $85 room service breakfast

I don’t think I’ve ever ordered room service in my entire life. My family is all about going down to the hotel lobby and eating as many runny eggs as we can before the complimentary hotel breakfast ends. Free breakfast is one of the joys of staying in a hotel chain! It’s fun, it’s social, and most importantly, it doesn’t cost $85.

Room service is notoriously not worth it. It’s one of those extra amenities that hotels have to make you feel fancy, but much like Uber Eats or Postmates, it’s rarely worth how much it sets you back. Even if room service isn’t the economical choice for you or me, there are some people who can enjoy it guilt-free, like billionaire Kyle Bass. He can certainly afford an $85 meal. Against all odds, he recently went viral on Twitter for complaining about the cost of his room service breakfast, @ing the Treasury Secretary of the United States as if she has any control over this pricing.
