As the old saying goes, opinions are like buttholes. More or less everybody has them, it’s just a matter of how willing they are to share them with the rest of the world. Points of view operate on a sliding scale, from being generally tolerable to the kind of thing that people start wars over. This doesn’t even have to be about something important, either; there are plenty of innocuous opinions out there ready to make even the most mild-mannered of people start a fight. This has been proven in a recent Twitter thread started by @jzux, in which people shared their most benign unpopular opinions. While they may keep politics out of it, some of these are still enough to rustle the jimmies of certain individuals. While we may all have a lot more in common than we think, it’s also pretty easy to cause disagreement. We know that social media certainly doesn’t help.
