‘We need to raise the legal age for tattoos to 40’: Body modifier tattoos heart freckles on face, horrifies Twitter

As a smalltime tattoo haver myself, I’ve often rolled my eyes at the question «but what will they look like when you’re older?». By the time hip replacement age rolls around, I feel like I’ll have bigger concerns than some blown-out linework.

However, some types of body art have even the staunchest defenders of physical modification cringing. One such example recently went viral on Twitter, showing somebody who had multicolored, heart-shaped freckles inked all over their face.

The results were certainly eye-catching, but not necessarily in the way that they were intended to be. When @JebraFaushay claimed that «There is nothing stopping you from getting heart freckles tattooed on your face this weekend», almost everyone was quick to agree. It has to be said, it’s difficult to imagine anybody willingly choosing to have this on their face. At least that woman who got her boyfriend’s name on her forehead was a hoax.
