‘Why did you send me this resume?’: Job recruiter gaslights airline wiring applicant into thinking they’re unqualified

Job recruiters are an equally interesting and annoying part of the contemporary job landscape. If your information is out there on any of the job search sites, chances are you’ve gotten an email from someone who wants you to work for them. But the thing with those is that it’s never the jobs you actually want. It’s always a low-paying gig that has very little to do with your interests, and you would have to relocate. Good things rarely just show up in your inbox, unless you’re some kind of unicorn.

I always wonder about the lives and careers of these professional recruiters. How do you get into that field? Did they get recruited to recruit? What skills do you need to make that happen? At the very least, you would think, it would entail reading resumes. But apparently not, according to this recent Reddit post. Apparently, they don’t even read resumes.
