Some of you may be familiar with our freelance editor, Mel. She used to work for Memebase full-time, but had to depart for another country after her partner lost his visa. If the lovely chap didn’t own his own little apartment in Edinburgh, I would probably feel pretty bad for her. But he does. This means she doesn’t really pay rent, and she gets to be somewhere that is not the United States. So I enjoy the Instagram posts featuring great food, adorable foxes, and gorgeous green hills covered with wildflowers. 

It seems like a quaint place, a whole lot more chill than the city she left here. But Scottish Twitter? Well, that’s another story altogether. Scottish Twitter is something we’ve featured many times before. For those of you who are unaware, it’s its own universe of painfully funny humor and language that may be hard for your average American to understand.  But something about it just works, even if we have to read some of the funny tweets three times in order to fully comprehend them.
