Tumblr is such a unique platform, and I’m so glad I was a part of it as a teenager. I was active on Tumblr during a golden age: 2012-2014 was when the young millennials and old Gen Zers ran that website as if our lives depended on it. Fans of Harry Potter, Dan and Phil, Merlin, Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock were completely unavoidable. Even if you were one of those slightly cooler teens who were on Tumblr for aesthetic reasons, you could not escape the shippers and the losers. 

As time has marched on, the tides have shifted, and Tumblr no longer houses a primarily teenage crowd. Now it’s just the chill adults who actually managed to stick around after their fandoms dissolved into nothingness. If you’re a brave soldier who refuses to go on Twitter and hasn’t abandoned the other blue social media that starts with a T, these memes and Tumblr posts might suit your fancy.
