I remember the first moment I realized I was an introvert. As a fresh faced 22 year old, I was out at the bars chugging cheap, watery beers, waiting in long bathroom lines, and continuously shouting ‘WHAT?’ over the cacophony of voices struggling to fight off the loud music. It was that night when I got home that I realized I truly loved my own apartment. 

The soft, cozy blankets on my couch were much nicer than the sticky bar floors. I could hear my own thoughts in my head without the thud-thud-thud of the baseline clattering around my skull. The food in my fridge was already paid for (and I wouldn’t have to chase down an overworked waitress with hot wing sauce on her elbow). Alongside the free food, even the drinks in my home were cheaper– which made them all the more tasty. So for my fellow introverts out there, I hear you, I see you. Nights to yourself definitely beat those noisy nights out every time.
