One of the greatest issues I have with this being alive business is how often things don’t go as planned. It seems like the wider world just doesn’t understand that I have control issues, and I refuse to cope with any instance where I have not, in fact, made allowances for every single possible thing that could go wrong. 

Us highly strung people don’t half make it difficult for ourselves, because acceptance of alternative routes is actually important. It’s something we all have to do sometimes. In their own way, memes are a kind of exposure therapy for the unexpected. We don’t always know what curveball they’re going to throw at us next, but because they’re meant to be enjoyable, we don’t always mind so much. Randomness is the name of the game, and that’s just how we like it. Perhaps one day, I’ll be able to extend that to other areas of my life.
