I’m kind of obsessed with the current state of the Harry Potter fandom. In some ways, it is unrecognizable from the fandom that existed 15 years ago. At the same time, it’s the natural extension of an online fan culture that remained obsessed with the Mauarders generation. If you are an old-timer Wolfstar fan, you might not know how far things have fallen. The #2 ship in the Harry Potter fandom today is Jegulus, which I’m sorry to say pairs James Potter and Regulus Black together as a couple. Why these Mauraders fans have paired these characters together, I will never know. I’ve gleaned that it’s at least partly because it would bring tension between Sirius and James in fanfics, but IMHO, that’s not a good enough reason. If you are pro-pointless ships that only exist because the fandom is bored and has no new source material, maybe these Harry Potter memes will entertain you.
