A piece of advice that you often hear is that it’s important to take some risks in life. While it’s true that it can be unwise to turn everything into a gamble, many of the good things we experience wouldn’t happen to us if we weren’t willing to put things on the line now and then.

When we take this kind of guidance on board, it’s easy to jump to the most drastic meaning of it — quitting a job and cutting out all those toxic people. 

However, it can be just as beneficial to risk much smaller things as well. Maybe that involves trying a new hobby or eating food you haven’t tried before. Perhaps it’s simply the decision to peruse a list of memes in the hopes you may find something worthwhile. You never know, what you might think is the mundane passing of another couple of minutes could be the start of something new.
