There’s nothing like getting up at the crack of dawn. It’s when the veil between this world and the next is thinnest, whatever that’s supposed to mean. It allows you to be all alone, which you usually cannot get throughout the day. I know that we’re supposed to cling to sleep as much as we can, but that’s not how my body works. If I wake up at 5:30 AM, I’m up for the day, and I might as well do something worthwhile with those hours before work. While some people opt for meditating or taking a lengthy soak, I usually spend my mornings scrolling through asinine reels that do anything but refresh me for the day ahead.
