Have you ever had a meme take you by surprise? I’d imagine the answer to that question is yes. I mean, everybody of a certain age has been Rickrolled at least once. Also, many meme makers are crafty fellows. You never know when they might twist the punchline into something totally unexpected, or even shocking.

Being a veteran of looking at entertaining internet media, I’d like to think I’m not taken aback by many memes these days. However, there is always the opportunity for me to be proven wrong, especially if the meme deals with something gross or a manmade horror I could never have conceived of in my own imagination.
