Do you ever leave early for work, say goodbye to your dog, and realize you’d give anything to trade places with them? To not have to put on your brave pants and face the day, but to continue lying on the couch, taking naps, and doing absolutely zilch? I think about that almost every time I leave the house.

I wonder if my dog has the same thoughts about me. Perhaps he’s jealous that I get to go outside whenever I please, take long walks, and spend as much time sniffing as I want. But something tells me he doesn’t have the same human desires, ambitions, and existential malaise that I do. Something tells me he’s just fine doing whatever he’s doing. The pups featured in these dog memes (fresh for the week) seem perfectly content the way they are. But I don’t know…you tell me.
