Do you all remember all of the nonsense discourse before Joker came out in 2019? People really thought this movie would incite the incel revolution. In hindsight, I don’t even remember why that was the impression people got from the trailer and promotional stuff. Instead of causing violence, this movie made more money than an R-rated movie has ever made. I remember seeing it about three weeks after it came out, and the theatre was still packed as if it was opening weekend. 

They are currently filming Joker 2 in New York with Lady Gaga playing Harley Quinn. Now, this is a movie people should actually be worried about. Apparently, the Joker sequel will be a musical in the style of Liza Minnelli musicals from the 70s. If there’s something DC Comics bros don’t love, it’s Cabaret. Hopefully, the questionable quality of this sequel won’t ruin the original movie’s reputation.
