One question that every single person who has stepped into my house and looked at my book collection has asked me is – «Wow, did you really read all these books?». Now, I know the right answer will be «No, of course I didn’t, and I probably won’t», but I have a reputation to keep, so I gleefully smile and nod.

I know anyone who identifies themselves as a book lover can testify that the best feeling in the world is when you get a new book, you snuggle in bed with it, you give it a big sniff (yeah, I said it, books smell wonderful), and you get lost in that world for hours. But once you really get invested in that wormhole, you end up accumulating too many books with too little time to read them all. That’s why I have a beautiful library at home, in which I read only about 60% of the books there.
