The reasons which encourage an ordinary person to begin memeing are many. Some feel like they have nowhere else to vent their thoughts and frustrations, whereas others just live for the applause that comes from making a successful and funny internet joke. Yet more get a thought stuck in their head which just refuses to come out again, and the only way they know how to express it is via image macro. Whatever the reason that there are so many of us out there that make memes, there is a huge audience for them that is eternally thankful for the effort, even if they don’t always show it. You see, life wouldn’t be quite as bearable if we didn’t have a daily dose of online stupidity to take our minds off of it. We may not always agree with the messages that they send, or even be that entertained by them, but at least they help us forget our problems for a little while.
