Seeing as it’s the start of the week, I’ll wager that most of the people reading this have some kind of obligation or responsibility that they’d rather run away from. Life would be so much easier if we didn’t have to put so much effort into the business of living it. 

Unfortunately, most of us can’t afford to spend too much time and energy on pure escapism, either. That’s why the pastime of looking at memes comes in handy. It allows us to temporarily put our worries to the back of our mind as we get distracted by a colorful array of words and pictures. It’s a method that is simple, free, and incredibly effective. 

We really couldn’t ask for more, and that’s why the basic building blocks of this winning formula have changed so little over the years. We know that they can help us relax like nobody’s business.
