I don’t know about you, but most people out there like things in life to be easy. Why struggle when there is a low effort alternative that could be used instead? A lot of us wouldn’t do things like clean the house or cook for ourselves if we could afford somebody to do it for us, nor would we work for 40 hours a week. Some go even further in their everyday lives; they avoid walking anywhere like their life depends on it, and most of their entertainment comes in bitesize, TikTok-style servings.  

Procrastinating with memes may sometimes take a little more effort, but it’s an easy ride once you’re there. It is the lowest effort pastime around, so long as you know where to look.
