When you’re taken down by boredom, it can be kind of hard to be selective. Almost any form of inane entertainment will suffice. You can turn on the television and feel like you are experiencing something new – even when you’re actually scrolling through stupid Instagram posts while it plays in the background. Like you do almost every evening of your sad and boring life. You can take a leisurely walk around the neighborhood, admiring all the numerous piles of burning garbage on the streets and the miserable people staring out their windows or sitting on their stoops. But if we’re being real, none of these pastimes really cures the pain. Sometimes, taking a more proverbial walk on the safer side of the street is the antidote to the listlessness you feel. And that involves simply logging back on, heading to Memebase, and scrolling through yet another collection of weird memes. Some are fresh. Some are nerdy. Some are straight up bizarre. But they all do the trick where boredom is concerned. At that’s all that matters.
