Dude Claims He Paid $78 For an Airport Meal, Gets Roasted For Ordering Multiple Whiskey Doubles

Everybody who has ever been to an airport knows you must be careful when buying food. If you think that cities like New York or LA are expensive, just wait until you try to buy a coffee in one of their airports. Airports in any city feel like the Twilight Zone of prices. I used to do a little challenge where I tried to find the cheapest bottle of Diet Coke at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. The only Diet Coke bottle I could ever find that was less than $4 was at Dunkin Donuts, and even then, I don’t think paying $3.50 for a product worth $1.50 is a real win.

A New York Times columnist recently claimed that a burger, fries, and drink at Newark Airport set him back $78. What he didn’t expect was that Twitter users would catch that he spent most of that on alcohol, which is notoriously expensive, even outside of airports. What followed was a hilarious roasting that could only happen on the place formerly known as ‘the bird app.’
