When I worked at a huge retail clothing company as a teenager, lord knows there were karens, and thankfully I was lucky enough to have a manager who had my back. Whenever a karen was rude to me for simply doing my job and enforcing a store policy, my manager would stand their ground and back me up every time. Not only is it the right thing to do, it feels validating for the retail worker, who is stuck in an otherwise powerless position.
Redditor u/moshthepoundsaway isn’t so lucky. They’ve got the spineless type of manager who will break the rules enforced by low-level employees just to appease rude karens, making the worker look terrible in the process. Eventually, OP had enough of being the bad guy and took some sweet, petty revenge.
