I’m a dog person. I grew up with dogs, all of my roommates have had dogs, and I’ve been a side hustle dog walker for about four years now. Love everything about them. If I’m going to have a pet it’s going to be either a smart creature I get to spend time with or something that requires near-zero maintenance that functions more as apartment decoration.

Dogs are objectively the best pet if you’re willing to put in the time and maintenance. They’re sweet, smart, funny, and loveable. They’ll get you out of the house, get you some exercise, provide you with some fun, and maybe even help you meet new people. I have nothing against cats, but they aren’t the full package that I look for in a pet.
