‘I took too much initiative’: Employee gets fired for being too productive, debunks supervisor’s untrue accusations

Going above and beyond isn’t always the best thing for a worker to do. Sometimes, it can lead to overly enthusiastic people stepping on other people’s toes and trying to steal their thunder. It can also lead to major burnout that can only be fixed by stepping away from working so hard. That being said, it’s often preferable for a worker to go above and beyond instead of lagging behind. It’s rare that you’ll come across a boss who wants their employees to do bare minimum passable work. They want people who take pride in what they do and are willing to go the extra mile to do it well, even when it isn’t easy.

Somehow, one worker found herself under the supervision of the only supervisor in the world who did not want their employees to work hard. She got fired for being too good at her job, and she gave the HR worker a piece of her mind.
