In the age of social media, privacy has become a sticky subject. With everyone making content out of their lives all the time, it’s hard to say when to draw the line on if you want to be photographed. Everyone’s constantly mining their experiences for content, but some things are sacred. Not everything has to go on the ‘gram to prove it happened. I personally hate having photos taken of me and wince every time someone takes out a camera. If they were doing it without my knowledge, it’d be even more of an issue. 

A recent TikTok fanned the flames of this discussion when someone surreptitiously filmed a couple’s proposal with the intention of doing a nice thing. It backfired almost instantly. Get in on the debate here.
