If you need proof that I’m addicted to Twitter, here it is. I communicate with my best friend primarily through memes. I have probably texted my bestie through our phone numbers 50 times over seven years of friendship. That is not a lot of text. Instead, all of our communication has happened through Twitter DMs. We have sent each other thousands of tweets and memes throughout the years. If we were famous, it would be easy to make a coffee table book of all of the tweets we’ve sent to each other. I would argue that tweets and memes are the foundation of our friendship. 

I think there’s something so intimate and special about sending a joke to someone that you know they will love. It demonstrates a level of understanding and connection that a normal text simply can’t communicate. If you love sending memes to your friends, these ones are ripe for picking!
