If you’re more than a few years out from high school like me, you might have forgotten that it is indeed prom season. Teens are arriving at their gymnasiums in jewel-toned mermaid gowns, trying not to sweat through their blowout while dancing to «Get Low» (or whatever teenagers listen to now), and wondering if they’ll go to Denny’s afterward. It’s a magical night. But more than anything, prom is a chance for teens to express their inner divadom, and exercise their right to feel like royalty for one night. It’s an important ritual, I think, to challenge yourself to formalwear at a young age. It might be one of the only times you ever have to. 

It’s also a chance to make a real entrance. That’s exactly what one teen did, in a way that grabbed the attention of the internet (which is hard to do these days). She went full Wednesday Addams mode, and I was incredibly here for it. Scroll for the video and reactions.
