Every half a generation or so, the internet gets redefined by a meme-adjacent way of sharing thoughts, jokes, and opinions on the internet. The late 2000s had Impact font Advice Animals, then the early to mid-2010s was dominated by Twitter screenshots. Whisper had a brief moment a few years back, and now we are undoubtedly in the era of the TikTok screengrab. 

It’s wild to think, when we look back on this period in history the textbooks could well be filled with pictures of people staring blankly into the camera as the text in front of them spills their deepest secrets (or funniest jokes). It probably says something about us as a Society, but that isn’t what we are concerned with today. Instead, we’re here to enjoy the wild ride through the minds of the people who post on the clock app. If nothing else, it gives us some interesting ideas about the human condition.
