Once you have work experience in any sector, it’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ll never look at the service it provides the same way again. This is especially true of lower-paid and customer-facing roles, which on a good day can provide enough exhausting anecdotes to make any reasonable person want to lie down and never get back up again. For the real veterans of jobs like fast food or custodial work, it can get to the point where off the clock, it almost feels like you should salute the guy going in to clean those public toilets. That, or some kind of secret handshake. Only after they take their gloves off, though.  

However, this different perspective does not usually stop us from using those services as well. That being said, it can change the way that we interact with them forever. This has recently been illustrated in a viral tweet by @SC_Toothpaste, who shared an amusing takeout order received by an anonymous restaurant. In it, the orderer gives unusually detailed instructions for their food, while at the same time expressing solidarity and remorse for the fact that the employees had to deal with his requests. His receipt gained a lot of appreciation from Twitter users, both for its sense of respect and his particular attention to detail. With any luck, this legend got the cheesesteak he deserved.
