Work is the reason that most of us get to live lives of relative comfort, or at least keep the heating on when it’s freezing outside. Saying that, there are plenty of people out there full time who can’t even afford that privilege. The average person will throw thousands of hours of their lives into making a profit for some rich guy, and what we get in return is often negligible. 

We can’t front, it is super depressing! When the only thing many of us have to look forward to is a stagnant paycheck at the end of the month, it can be hard to stay motivated. Memes understand this, and there are a wealth of them out there that allow us to express some of our frustrations. Even if we don’t get the enjoyment of the Christmas bonus, at least we can complain with a series of dumb and amusing images.
