Happy belated International Worker’s Day to all those who observe! The beginning of May marks a recognition the world over of those who fought for the eight-hour work day so many years ago. In retrospect, it’s pretty wild that this was something that was at one point considered an unreasonable demand. Nowadays, increasing numbers of the working population are wondering if that many hours per day are really necessary for many jobs. Realistically, being an office drone isn’t so important that it requires that much time dedicated to it.

That being said, it’s not like the powers that be see it that way. So, until things change we have to make do with taking out our frustrations in acceptable ways, as with work memes. At least the tedium of working life gives us a relatable sense of humor, if we go about it the right way. Even workaholics have to appreciate that.
