Dating can be a little awkward because you can’t just expect the communication styles of two random people to fit together magically. I once went on a date with a girl who told me she usually dates «TikTokers and models.» I know that this was probably just her negging me, but that isn’t really the most effective way to get me interested in somebody. I don’t respond well to seeds of doubt being planted in my mind that I’m not worthy of dating somebody who usually goes for someone super hot. For someone else, that might’ve made them feel great because they were implied to be as hot as a TikToker, but I am unfortunately not one of those people. 

This communication issue is exacerbated 100% when you apply it to conversation over the internet. No matter how hard you try, some of your flirting attempts will come off as cringe.
