The Cringiest Parenting Posts of the Week (September 18, 2023)

I’m constantly baffled by how many parents are willing to tell their whole life story on parenting Facebook groups. More than that, I’m shocked that they are so willing to ask for advice from a group of complete strangers. I know that there’s a feature on Facebook where you can ask questions anonymously, but that doesn’t mean that somebody you know can’t glean details from your post and figure out who you are.

I know that getting parenting advice from strangers can sometimes feel safer than asking someone you know. You’re saved from the embarrassment of your loved ones knowing you’re struggling, and you can get different perspectives than what you know your mom or your best friend will say. But everyone on the internet is talking out of their butts the same way your loved ones are, so you might as well ask somebody you actually trust. If you can’t look away from wild mommy Facebook posts, these are the best of the best from this week.
