The Most Entertaining Parenting Posts of the Week (March 4, 2024)

On some levels, I understand the appeal of a Mom Facebook group. It’s a good way to find community when you’re moving to a new city and want to connect with local parents. When you’re a first-time mom, it can feel better to get advice from those who understand what you’re going through instead of doctors or parenting books. It feels much more human to consult with people online who are more than willing to share their honest opinions. However, these groups aren’t always dominated by people with the best parenting takes. Think about it: why would doctors and parenting experts spend all their free time in local parenting Facebook groups telling others how to care for their children? These groups are for people with nothing better to do, and it shows. The following posts are some of the wildest things mommy Facebook groups had to offer this week, and some of them need to be seen to be believed.
