The Most Entertaining Takes From TikTok This Week (April 18, 2023)

The evolution of the way people have presented themselves online is wild. Once upon a time, everybody hid behind aliases in forums and chatrooms, allowing themselves to be whatever they insisted that they were.

After that, more image-based media and internet clout were thrown into the mix. This gave rise to the influencer, and even encouraged the normies to bring a polished version of their personality onto the World Wide Web.

Then, for some reason short form video was the breaking point where a significant minority decided to go utterly batsh*t insane. TikTok isn’t the first social media platform to encourage certain sections of the populace into baring all. However, rarely has it been this personal, or with full identity attached.
