In the best possible way, TikTok is the definition of inanity. There are few other places where you get to see a pasta recipe, a faultless sorority dance routine, and a dude joyously celebrating that a public faucet works in the space of three minutes. The only real objective of all these videos is to capture our attention long enough that the view count ticks upwards, and Lord knows a lot of us are dedicated to helping the cause.

It’s very easy to speak of the many ills of the clock app, as well as dismiss much of what it produces as cringe. This isn’t untrue, as some of the examples below are more than willing to prove. At the same time, it contains the occasional pocket of such pure entertainment that it would be wrong to ignore it altogether. Say what you will, there are some jokesters on TikTok.
