‘The UK’s Mount Rushmore’: Four lads in jeans recreate their iconic meme, their fashion update gets applauded by the internet

One of the great things about social media is how every so often, we will be treated to a photo that internet historians are going to look back on and declare perfectly encapsulates that moment in time. In 2020, we were treated to a prime example of this with the Four Lads In Jeans meme, in which four British men sporting impossibly tight skinny jeans and shoes with no socks inadvertently turned into the poster boys for mainstream UK nightlife culture.

Such was their impact that Birmingham, their chosen stomping ground, unveiled a statue commemorating the iconic moment in 2022. They kind of became a Bri’ish counterpart to You Know I Had to Do It to ‘Em.

It seems they realized that it was high time they provided an update to both their fashion sense and the meme itself, as they recently posted an update pic which has enamored wannabe online anthropologists far and wide. To everyone’s shock, they’re baggy jeans guys now. You can see some of the more amusing reactions to this below.
