Uber Eats Gets Called Out for Sneakily Using AI Generated Pictures of Food on Restaurant Listing

For all that ordering takeout is theoretically as convenient as it’s ever been, there sure can be a lot of hiccups in the process. It’s all too easy for restaurants to share false advertising — some of them even end up not being real. We have never had more choice, and it’s never been so unreliable.

As the technological advances of artificial intelligence continue to be shared with the world, it appears that we now have something else to worry about when it comes to food delivery. Twitter has been focused on an Uber Eats controversy in recent days. The issue is an anonymous restaurant using AI generated pictures for the products that it is selling.

It goes without saying that plenty of people were disturbed by the examples that were shared, not least because many of them were wildly unconvincing. Who knows how much you’d have to drink for this to look like an appetizing prospect.
