The college student who had made parents and kids question their relationships is back with an update, and the family drama continues.

In his original Reddit post, OP (original poster), wrote about how his parents have made him pay rent in their home for four years of college, causing him to have no social life as he had to work. Then the parents thought it was a good life lesson to ‘gift’ him back all the money he paid as a graduation present. Feeling betrayed, OP ripped the check and cut off all contact with his parents, claiming he is better off without them. This caused people all over the internet to discuss whether he was right to be mad, or simply acted ungrateful.

In the update below, OP shares that he decided to have lunch with his parents and let them apologize for their actions. They then again give him a check in the sum of everything he paid them in the last four years and this time, OP takes the money and says thank you. Yet OP is not actually interested in forgiving his parents, and reveals that he was only after his hard-earned money…
