Sometimes I really do think that technology has gone too far. Without a charged phone it’s almost impossible to reach people (who memorizes phone numbers anymore?) or secure transportation. Even New York City plans to get rid of metro card machines, forcing people to use smartphones to get around. Insanely classist. That said, over the years there have been a few scenarios that made us thankful for tech. But there’s been none as soap opera-y and powerful as the one experienced by TikToker @jessicalowman1, who caught her boyfriend cheating with the help of the Alexa virtual assistant.
