One time, I dated this person whose dad lived in the West in the middle of nowhere deep in the mountains. Literally, I went there once and there was only one road through the entire town and everybody, I mean EVERYBODY, knew each other. There were maybe 100 people living there? Anyways, the point is that, in this town the place where everyone met up to hang out, where everyone raved about and love, was the local Chinese food restaurant. His dad would rave saying that was the crown jewel of the town and anybody I talked to would always say I just had to go to the Chinese food restaurant. As Americans, we all know are at least suspected that this food has very much been Americanized for the local market, so it’s not truly Chinese food. But it was definitely inspired by authentic Chinese food and it is still a beloved meal. As you can see I’m a big fan of Chinese takeout and I’d like to celebrate this random Chinese Food Takeout day with memes and applaud all the takeout places near me. Thank you for being open late at night and fulfilling my drunk munchies (or drunchies) cravings. Some heroes don’t wear capes.
