I love staying in hotels. There’s something so fun and novel about living in a clean, liminal place that’s not a home or an apartment for only a few days. It makes me feel like I’m starting anew. I love the complimentary breakfast, even if the eggs are super watery. I love the social awkwardness that comes with standing in an elevator with a bunch of strangers, shuffling around to stand in the right positions. I love going down to the lobby to get some snacks.
