The newborn stage is one of the most paradoxical parts of parenthood. Moms and dads unanimously agree that it’s one of the most tiring and terrifying time periods in parenting, yet many of them have rose tinted glasses about the magic of those first few weeks and months. Regular sleep and owning clothes that haven’t been spat up on might be a thing of the past, but it is also the first ever opportunity that you really get to know your kid. 

Some parents love having a newborn, others hate it, and others still hate it at the time, and then hate the terrible twos more. As such a pivotal point for any young family, it’s no wonder it’s inspired its fair share of memes. While it might not feel funny when it’s happening, it’s hard to be in contact with so many bodily fluids and not make something humorous out of it.
