There have been times when I’ve had so little shame regarding ordering food to my house. Before 2020, I was never a Postmates or Uber Eats girl at all. I occasionally ordered an entire Domino’s pizza to eat by myself, but that only happened during times of extreme distress. However, in 2021 and 2022, I went through a real moment with ordering fast food to my apartment. I would wake up at around 5 AM to get work done on an empty stomach and order myself some McDonald’s breakfast as soon as I was able to do so. It was rarely, if ever, worth the $20 price tag, but it got me enough energy to get through the day on less than 6 hours of sleep, so I can’t knock it that hard.
