When people say «I want someone with a sense of humor,» what they usually mean is, «I want someone with my sense of humor.» What you find funny is so personal. I went to a comedy show at a popular venue recently, and everyone in the room was laughing their heads off at the various different comics. I managed to muster maybe 5 or 6 chuckles the whole night. Am I just a contrarian loser? Maybe. But more likely, I just had a different sense of humor than the people in the room that night. 

Humor has a lot to do with age, generation, where you were raised, and what you find important. But it’s also just a certain wavelength of stupid you happen to be tapped into. And when you find someone who can share it with you without question… that’s worth all the gold in the world. Here’s hoping these memes do it for ya.
