It’s Valentine’s Day, and as always, love is in the air at Hogwarts. It really is wild that Fred and George Weasley, two literal teenage wizards, were able to create a love potion that was actually effective and didn’t have dire consequences for the takers. Well, I guess it depends on what you mean by «dire,» but my point still stands. Fred and George were some of the only characters in the Harry Potter series who tried to find new ways to use magic. Harry only learned new spells when he absolutely had to for class or for survival, and even Hermione wasn’t particularly creative with her magic. Fred and George might’ve experimented with magic for fun instead of for fighting Voldemort or whatever, but they are way better wizards than they get credit for.
