What is it about the shower that helps you come up with off-the-wall, deep thoughts? Whatever it is, it’s working, because new thoughts keep getting thunk in showers all across the globe. But you have to make your shower a sanctuary. You can’t just expect the thoughts to come to you if you have an uninspiring shower. 

That used to be me. It was cluttered, stark, and often a little grimy. But I recently started prioritizing my shower, like I do with other rooms. I added some color-changing LED lights, and a new shelving system, and keep a little speaker in there for shower tunes. It has turned the daily practice of cleaning from a boring, utilitarian couple of minutes into a transformative, inspiring experience. I highly recommend doing this. The thoughts will surely start flowing with more regularity in my new shower disco. Luckily more people are cranking out the shower thoughts, and we have some of the best ones here.
