When I was a kid, there were a few very memorable cars that could periodically be spotted around town. The first one was the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile. Every time we saw that bad boy cruising past our high school, we’d burst into song and belt out the Oscar Meyer Wiener jingle. The scene was like a damn Oscar Meyer commercial. The second car was a DIY Batmobile that looked like it could explode at any moment. I never actually saw that one in action before—it was always just mysteriously parked in different locations around town. The third vehicle was actually pretty upsetting and I don’t really want to describe it (for your own sake), but let’s just say the driver had very strong opinions about a certain contentious political issue and made their views explicitly known by using their car as a mobile billboard. To be honest, I don’t even remember what color my mom’s minivan was, or what model Toyota my best friend and I commuted in every single morning, but I remember these three weird cars like it was yesterday.
