Despite the fact that we all deal with one on a daily basis, the human mind is a mystery. Memories are such an important part of how we function, but they are frequently unreliable; we can remember a random conversation we had with another kid in kindergarten, but not whether or not we took the trash out last night. 

Even worse are those time sensitive moments when our brain fails us. It feels like being taunted when we have no idea how to answer the exam question in front of us that we crammed for, and our mind thinks that it’s funny to play the same classic Vine over and over again in our head instead.

Every time we soak up whatever a meme has to offer, we are probably taking up a chunk of precious brain cells that should be used for something more useful, like figuring out what the hell we actually want to do with our lives. In the end, though, looking at the stupid picture is a lot more easy and fun.
