What’s with all this emphasis on things being «fresh» or «new.» Sure, novelty is cool, but everything loses its exciting luster after a while. That doesn’t make it less valuable. Think of all the long-married couples who have achieved ultimate companionship after years of partnership. Or perhaps a bottle of fine wine you’re saving for a special occasion. Sure, sometimes people get divorced. Sometimes that bottle of vino is corked. But do we lose faith? NO! 

The same goes for memes. Sure, there are some memes (like the one with the bear being read Goldilocks) that we’d be happy to never see again. But there are also memes that feel like a warm hug when we see them after a few weeks, months, or years. We know that these memes have been well-loved, but why not give ‘em a little more of that TLC? We’re sure they’ll appreciate it.
